23991 David Chee is an Assistant State Attorney for the 11th Judicial Circuit (Miami, Florida) and he recently prosecuted a group of repeat-offender lobster poachers in the area for violating State law. Part of their sentence included forfeiture of their commercial fishing vessel, the “El Donny.”  There was a segment featured on the 5 PM news (CBS 4 Miami).

We were alerted by 14095 Cliff Wardle Contracting Officer at PWGSC that policy regarding Ineligibility and Suspension (formerly the Integrity Policy) was recently released.

It is a complex issue and the document explains it well. Enjoy the read!

Former Redmen lace them up (again) at CARHA World Hockey Tournament

The Canadian Adult Recreation Hockey Association (CARHA) World Hockey tournament was held this year in Windsor, ON centred at the Caesar’s Casino. There were over 135 teams from 14 different countries.

Organized by 10601 Dick Mohns, our team consisted of many of the same players that played in the 2008 Worlds in Quebec City. Some of these same players have now played together over a span of almost 45 years, playing with the Reddies since the early ‘70’s.

From left to right are 10950 Dave Hall, 9642 Steve Blanchard, 10622 Larry Russell, 10161 Marc Ouellet, 10601 Dick Mohns, 9699 Chris (“CC”) Ouimet, and 10620 Ron Roos.

Although they did not advance (they won their division in 2008), some of the players decided it was important to stay for a few days and review the game films and plot strategy for the next tournament There could be some ‘pops’ involved. This is a long, long time to enjoy the friendship of great guys.

True teammates, to be sure.

Peter retired a few years back, after many years in purchasing with National Defence, and turned his attention to researching family history.
